Stewart County accepts $250,000 GTIB grant for Moore Store Road culvert; bids opened

At its Sept. 9 meeting the Stewart County Board of Commissioners accepted a GTIB grant agreement for Moore Store Road in the amount of $250,000 and opened sealed contractor bids for the culvert work.

Chairwoman Arcola Scott moved to accept the GTIB agreement for Moore Store Road for $250,000; Vice‑Chair Thomas Mayo seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The commission opened sealed bid packets submitted by North Georgia Concrete and Southern Concrete and referred the bids to the county engineer for review before making a contract award.
