The Brooksville Planning Commission voted to recommend that the City Council consider a comprehensive-plan map amendment for a 1.3-acre parcel at 1011 South Main Street, following the parcel’s recent annexation into the city.
Betsy Jolly, representing the applicant and identifying herself as with Coastal Engineering, told the commission the request updates the future land use designation from Hernando County’s South Brooksville PDD industrial to the City of Brooksville South Brooksville PDD industrial designation to match adjacent industrial uses and enable rezoning under city jurisdiction. Planning staff (Mr. Goldman) said the amendment would permit up to 45,302 square feet of light-industrial floor space and is largely a technical step required after the parcel’s annexation.
