Price City Council convened a workshop on March 11, 2026, in Conference Room 106 to receive brief safety remarks and a series of director reports on budgeting, procurement and public‑works projects. Mayor Terry Willis presided; councilmembers Miller, Richardson, Root, Seeley and Urbanik were present.
Councilmember Seeley opened the session with a short "Safety Seconds" reminder invoking a cited "300‑29‑1 theory," urging staff and council to reduce unsafe actions to lower the frequency of both small and larger incidents. The remark was presented as guidance rather than a policy motion.
Administrative Director Nick Tatton told the council the Criminal Prosecution Service request for proposals is due March 19, 2026, by noon; he also listed several administrative items under review, including a garbage rates resolution, a purchasing policy update and a draft non‑parade event permit with an associated fee. Tatton recommended assigning the permit‑fee discussion to the Progress Committee and flagged a Price City‑owned billboard near the hospital southbound exit that has easement issues; he said the city will convene a committee meeting to determine next steps.
Finance Director Lisa Richens presented a mid‑year 2025–2026 budget revision summary that staff said addresses revenues, expenses, franchise tax receipts and water‑sales figures. Richens provided the summary for council review; no adoption vote was recorded at the workshop.
Public Works Director Miles Nelson updated the council on multiple projects: staff is preparing a draft facility rental agreement, the Canal Crossing project remains active, and traffic engineers Jones & DeMille have completed a study of the 3rd East and 4th North intersection with results expected to be released to council soon. Nelson said Price City will issue requests for proposals for a transmission line project and for new pickleball courts. He reported that recent water testing in the Coves has concluded and that the tested supply most likely is not Price City water; staff are evaluating alternative water options, including relocating city supply, and will report findings to council.
Monica Donaldson, Benefits Specialist, announced an open‑enrollment session for PEHP health and benefits on April 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Fire Chief David Johnson said the Price City Fire Department will host a pancake breakfast on Saturday, March 14, 2026, as a Sub for Santa fundraiser.
The workshop adjourned at 5:25 p.m.; the minutes reflect approval signatures from Mayor Terry Willis and City Recorder Jaci Adams. Several items were placed with staff or committees for follow‑up rather than final council action; committees are expected to return recommendations at future meetings.
