The Town of Scotland Planning & Zoning Commission appointed M. Garrison to a vacant full‑time seat, retained its current officers and agreed to move its 2026 regular meetings to the third Wednesday of each month at 7:15 p.m., the commission recorded Dec. 22 at a meeting at the Scotland Fire Department.
J. Jakubowski, chair, called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. During roll call the commission recorded members present: B. Syme (online), R. Manning, G. Nelson, J. Jakubowski, J. Troeger, Jonathan Blake and S. George; alternate S. Gadbois was seated for the vacancy associated with M. Garrison.
A motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held Dec. 22, 2025, was made by J. Troeger and seconded by G. Nelson; R. Manning and S. Gadbois abstained and the motion carried.
On organizational business, R. Manning moved, with S. Gadbois seconding, to appoint M. Garrison to the vacant full‑time seat; the motion carried. The commission then considered officer elections: S. Gadbois moved, seconded by G. Nelson, to keep all board members in their current positions; that motion also carried.
Jonathan Blake said he had reviewed the commission by‑laws and would send a draft with suggested revisions to the commission by the first week of January. Blake also said the commission’s 2026 meeting schedule would change to the third Wednesday of each month at 7:15 p.m. to allow the secretary to attend; the schedule will be submitted to the Town Clerk.
