Region 11 board gives tentative approval to three policies; final votes set for next meeting

The Regional District 11 Board of Education gave tentative approval to three policies during its March 24 special meeting.

Policy 5123.3 (Graduation Ceremonies — participation) was moved by Cassidy Martin and seconded by Joy Becker and recorded as tentatively approved. Policy 6146 (Graduation Requirements) was moved by Cassidy Martin and seconded by Ellen Gillon and recorded as tentatively approved. Policy 7100 (New Construction/Planning) was moved by Ellen Gillon and seconded by Susan Lovegreen and recorded as tentatively approved.

Minutes show all three actions received unanimous tentative approval and that final approval of each policy is to take place at the board’s next meeting. No substantive debate or amendments were recorded in the meeting minutes for these items.
