The Woodson County Board of Commissioners on March 17 approved a three-year uniform services contract with Cintas for the Road & Bridge Department. Kevin Stuber, the vice-chairman, moved to allow the chair to sign the contract; Chairman Justin Clark seconded and the motion passed.
Road & Bridge presenter Gary Ward outlined the purpose of the contract for employee uniforms and related housekeeping for the department. Ward also told the board that the deed for a recent land acquisition has been filed and that crews are continuing work to relocate AT&T lines tied to the project.
The vote followed routine review and there was no public controversy recorded in the minutes about the contract terms. The board previously recessed twice for attorney-client sessions earlier in the meeting and returned to consider departmental business. The Cintas contract was approved by voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded in the minutes.
Next steps recorded in the minutes indicate the chair is authorized to sign the contract and Road & Bridge staff will proceed with the planned uniform service implementation alongside ongoing right-of-way work connected to the land acquisition.
