Fulton County commissioners on March 17 approved three facility maintenance purchases to address heating, hot‑water and acoustics needs in county buildings.
Building and Maintenance Director Brad Seville presented vendor quotes and noted there were also issues with the maintenance truck. The board approved a Shearer Plumbing and Heating quote to purchase and install a Lennox 3.5‑ton, 15‑SEER heat pump — including indoor and outdoor units, line set, outdoor pad, Honeywell thermostat, PVC drain and related installation labor — for $18,460. The board also approved a Shearer Plumbing and Heating quote to remove the old system and install a commercial boiler on a time‑and‑materials basis for $24,434. Commissioners approved a purchase of acoustic panels from American Micro Industries Custom Components for $2,188 to be installed in the Main Conference Room and Business Office.
Commissioners recorded each motion as passing "all in favor," indicating unanimous approval. Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed was present for the facilities discussions. For the heat‑pump purchase, the board directed staff to work with the Fulton County Family Partnership to assist with the purchase process.
The approvals followed a routine review of quotes and vendor specifications. No vote tallies beyond "all in favor" were recorded in the meeting minutes. The county did not specify which line‑item budgets would cover the purchases during the meeting.
