At 9:45 a.m., the Senate Government Oversight and Reform Committee advanced Senate Bill 254 to the committee on rules and reference and recommended the governor's appointments to the committee on rules and reference.
Chair Susan Manchester said the committee would proceed slightly out of order and called up SB 254 for its second hearing. Vice Chair Andrew Benner moved to “favorably report Senate Bill 254 to the committee on rules and reference and leave the voting rolls open at the chair's discretion.” The clerk reported sufficient votes and the bill was favorably reported; the rule for all votes will remain open until 5 p.m. today.
Benner also moved that the committee recommend the governor's appointments to the committee on rules and reference and leave voting rolls open. The clerk reported sufficient votes and the appointments were recommended. Chair Manchester reminded members to sign the rules for both the bill vote and the governor's appointments.
The committee noted it planned a hearing on Senate Bill 202 and stood at ease while the key witness arrived. With no further business, the committee adjourned.
