Fulton County commissioners on March 17 approved $189,563.85 in accounts payable, authorized several building-maintenance purchases and approved mileage reimbursement for the county coroner, officials said.
The board — Chair Commissioner Randy H. Bunch, Vice-Chair Commissioner Steven L. Wible and Commissioner Hervey P. Hann — voted unanimously to approve the accounts payable register dated March 17, 2026, which totaled $189,563.85 and included $100,467.84 from the General Fund. The board also approved payroll dated March 20, 2026, for $134,640.70.
Building and Maintenance Director Brad Seville presented vendor quotes. Commissioners approved a motion by Commissioner Wible to accept a Shearer Plumbing and Heating quote for a Lennox 3.5‑ton 15 SEER heat pump (indoor and outdoor units, line set, Honeywell thermostat and installation) for $18,460.00 and to work with Fulton County Family Partnership to assist with the purchase. Commissioners also approved a $24,434.00 Shearer quote for a commercial boiler, including teardown and removal of the old boiler, and a $2,188.00 purchase of acoustic panels from American Micro Industries Custom Components for the main conference room and business office.
The board set March 24, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. for the Election Department’s "Casting of Lots" and directed that the event be advertised in the Fulton County Newspaper. The commissioners approved a request from Sheriff Sprague for physician services for an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility.
Commissioner Bunch moved and the board approved authorizing mileage reimbursement for the county coroner and deputy coroner when on call and traveling from home to a scene, effective April 1, 2026, citing 16 P.S. §12314 (Pennsylvania County Code).
The meeting included executive sessions for legal and personnel matters; the board recessed mid‑day and reconvened later before adjourning at 2:40 p.m.
The commissioners heard presentations from Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed and Interim County Treasurer Amy Bishop on administrative matters and received the Building and Maintenance updates from Seville; IT and planning items were handled later in the agenda.
