Technology panel votes 8–4 to advance bill requiring state expenditure reporting

The House Technology and Innovation Committee voted 8–4 to favorably report House Bill 413 as amended and recommended the bill be re-referred to the committee on rules and reference.

Vice Chair Workman explained amendment AM1361892, which requires state entities and political subdivisions to provide expenditure and revenue information annually for five years and thereafter every six months; the treasurer of state must update the public databases on the same timetable. Workman moved to adopt the amendment and later moved to favorably report the bill.
