Fulton County approves HVAC and boiler replacements, acoustic upgrades for county buildings

Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved and the board unanimously approved the purchase and installation of a Lennox 3.5‑ton, 15 SEER heat pump and associated equipment for $18,460, Building and Maintenance Director Brad Seville told commissioners during the March 17 meeting. Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed was present during the procurement discussion.

Seville also requested replacement of the aging commercial boiler. Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved and the board approved a commercial boiler purchase and installation — including teardown and removal of the old boiler and time‑and‑materials work — for $24,434. Commissioners also approved the purchase of acoustic panels for the Main Conference Room and Business Office from American Micro Industries Custom Components for $2,188.

Commissioners recorded the decisions as motions with votes described in the minutes as "all in favor."
