The Pennsauken Township Board of Education approved its monthly bill list and several large vendor payments at the April 15 business meeting.
Board materials listed department totals and payroll that combined to a total of $11,984,505.25 for April and March obligations. The board carried motions to approve the bill list and related business and finance items.
Separately, the board approved purchase orders and payment applications for capital projects. The district authorized purchase of four school buses through the New Jersey State Approved Cooperative at a total projected cost of $596,203.70 (three 54-passenger IC CE buses and one Chevrolet 29-passenger midbus), contingent on budget approval. The board also approved Payment Application #5 for Phifer Middle School HVAC upgrades in the amount of $692,679 and Payment Application #2 (final) for the Fine Elementary School generator replacement for $95,465. Agenda notes include remaining balances to finish and retainage amounts for larger projects.
Other approved procurement included a $189,150 payment application for theatrical and house lighting replacement at Pennsauken High School and Phifer Middle School, and a $44,181.19 contract award for office furniture. The board also authorized fuel contract renewal with Riggins, Inc. for 2024–25 and approved routine surplus property and online-auction procedures for equipment disposal.
