Foster County board authorizes Doug Zink to represent county at Rocky Run joint meeting, okays up to $21,000 cost share

The Foster County Water Resource Board on March 11 authorized board member Doug Zink to serve as the board’s voting representative at the Rocky Run Joint Water Board meeting and approved potential cost-sharing of up to $21,000.

Alex Stedman moved to authorize Zink as the voting member and Ronn Stangeland as the alternate; Jeff Edland seconded the motion. Board members unanimously approved the authorization and the limit on additional cost-share spending.

The authorization allows Zink to vote on the board’s behalf at the Rocky Run meeting and to approve cost-share expenditures up to $21,000 to support joint watercourse work. No specific projects or contracts were approved under that authorization at the March 11 meeting.

The board also indicated it will forward an Interstate Engineering letter concerning a proposed project to the Foster County Commissioners for review, and discussed but took no action on a Watercourse Maintenance Cost-Share Policy.
