At its March 11 meeting the Foster County Water Resource Board reviewed its financial condition and approved payment of presented bills.
Secretary/Treasurer Dianne Straley reported a general fund cash balance of $128,599.28 as of Feb. 28, 2026, held at Bremer Bank. The minutes record that Foster County has collected $45,869.63 of the 2025 Drain No. 1 assessment total of $48,615.92 and will remit the collected portion to the board in April 2026.
The board approved payment of invoices from Rinke Noonan (listed invoices totaling $2,556.00, including charges for general matters, stream-crossing work and legislative issues) and Apex Engineering (Invoice 23416, $1,527.50, for review of an NDDWR stream crossing determination, correspondence and technical memorandum updates). The motions to approve the financial report and to pay bills passed by unanimous vote.
Board members noted that landowners with questions about the Drain No. 1 assessment should be encouraged to attend future meetings to seek answers from the board.
The next scheduled board meeting is April 8, 2026.
