Committee postpones bill to let wineries and breweries pour additional drinks in tasting rooms

Sponsors said House Bill 11-90 would give small craft beverage producers more flexibility to pour other types of alcohol by the glass in their sales rooms to keep local dollars circulating and support small businesses. Representative Soper described brewery and winery closures and said the bill is intended as relief for rural producers and tourism businesses.

Sponsors and committee members agreed to postpone the bill indefinitely for additional negotiations with wholesalers, distributors and other industry stakeholders; the committee recorded the postponement by roll call.
