Committee approves technical correction to rules bill (House Bill 248)

The committee approved a technical correction to House Bill 248 and carried the measure unanimously.

Chair Lawson told members the rules bill had incorrect language that the committee sought to fix and that they had a corrected copy before them. Members agreed the new language was correct and that no additional testimony was necessary.

The chair identified the motion to pass as coming from Senator Albers with a second from Senator Adubatoarte; the committee raised hands and the chair declared the motion carried unanimously. The chair also identified Majority Leader Senator Anavitarte as the senate sponsor for the rules language.

With that action completed, the committee moved on to its remaining items and later adjourned.
