ECISD board opens and closes public hearing, then approves 2025–26 targeted and local improvement plans

The board opened a public hearing on the 2025–26 ECISD targeted improvement plans and local improvement plans and heard a presentation from Dr. Robert Trejo, who sought approval of both the local and targeted improvement funds as discussed at a prior workshop. No members of the public came forward to speak during the three-minute public-comment window, and the board closed the hearing.

Dr. Trejo summarized the materials previously presented to trustees and said the plans reflect state policy and district priorities; he asked the board to approve the plans as presented. Following a motion and second, trustees voted in favor and the item was approved without further amendment. Trustees recorded no public testimony and no additional board action was required beyond the approval.

The board’s packet and workshop materials were referenced during the brief discussion; administrators indicated the plans align with previous workshop presentations and that district departments will continue to support implementation.
