Fulton County sets Hotel‑Motel tax process, proclaims Pennsylvania 4‑H Week and authorizes coroner mileage

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners voted March 17 to set procedures for how Hotel‑Motel tax receipts will be handled, approved a proclamation for Pennsylvania 4‑H Week, and authorized mileage reimbursement for the coroner and deputy coroner.

In discussion with the Chamber of Commerce Board, commissioners agreed that a Chamber subcommittee will make recommendations on distribution of Hotel‑Motel tax funds after the county receives the funds and that the Chamber will submit an annual report detailing expenditures; the funds are intended to promote tourism. Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed and Interim County Treasurer Amy Bishop attended the discussion.

On a motion by Commissioner Randy H. Bunch the board proclaimed March 15–21, 2026 as "Pennsylvania 4‑H Week" in Fulton County. The motion included language urging citizens to "acknowledge and celebrate 4‑H for it's valuable service and continued efforts to empower youth with a foundation of success for a lifetime." The proclamation was approved unanimously.

The board also authorized reimbursing the County Coroner and Deputy Coroner for mileage when on call and traveling from home to a scene, effective April 1, 2026.
