The Brookfield Board of Education unanimously named Erin Scalera on Saturday, July 6, 2024, to fill a vacancy on the board, voting 6-0 after holding interviews in executive session.

After returning from executive session, Board members voted without objection to name Erin Scalera to fill the vacancy, effective immediately through Dec. 1, 2025. The Board exited executive session at 11:22 a.m. and adjourned the special meeting at 11:24 a.m.
