Planning commission approves Windsor Landing Phase 9 preliminary subdivision

The Jonesboro Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve the preliminary subdivision for Windsor Landing Phase 9, a proposal from Poppy Investment LLC and Island Construction Inc.

Darren Williams of McAllister Engineering told the commission the submission is the last phase of the subdivision and that “we have gone back and forth to address what those issues were” and that, to his knowledge, the outstanding platting issues have been resolved. A planning staff member recommended approval, saying the plan “does meet all the requirements of the subdivision ordinance” and advised the commission to approve with routine next steps.

Commission members moved and seconded the approval and the item passed by a 5–0 vote. The staff recommendation noted that the applicant must work with planning and engineering to prepare final plats and satisfy any outstanding technical requirements before final recording.

The action clears the applicant to proceed toward final plat submission; staff will oversee ordinance compliance and engineering sign-offs before any recordation.
