Senate health committee adopts Myositis Awareness Month resolution

Chair Dunbar opened the Senate Health and Social Services Committee meeting and the panel adopted a committee substitute for House Concurrent Resolution 4 designating Myositis Awareness Month, updating references from 2025 to 2026.

Representative Dan Sadler, sponsor for the resolution, told the committee he supports the committee substitute and thanked members for the swift action. Dolores Veil, staff to Representative Sadler, reviewed the summary of changes, noting the update of year references and specific line edits.

With no public testimony in the room or online, Vice Chair Giswold moved that HCR 4 be reported from committee with individual recommendations and an attached fiscal note; no committee members objected and the measure moved from committee. The committee took a brief at‑ease to complete paperwork and returned to the agenda.
