The Rosebud County Board of Commissioners opened its weekly meeting March 17, approved routine items on the consent agenda and carried several motions that will guide county operations through the coming months.
The board approved the consent agenda and claims following a motion and vote. The commissioners then approved a request for qualifications to acquire snow-removal equipment for Ricks Field; that procurement and its funding details are covered in a separate item.
Sally Warner, the county clerk, presented a list of election judges for the 2026 primary and general elections and said training for judges will be held April 21 at 10 a.m. at the fairgrounds. The chair moved, and the board approved designating judges for the June 2 primary and November 3 general elections pursuant to Montana Code.
The board also discussed and approved keeping the county's spring lawn and spraying contract in the same arrangement used last year, which split work between two local vendors so both businesses share the county work. The committee member who made the motion said Sea Green handled the library, sheriff's office and other public properties last year and recommended keeping that division.
With no further business the chair adjourned the meeting.
