The City Planning Commission on March 19 recommended approval of a conditional‑use permit for a proposed 350,000‑square‑foot distribution facility (G10 Fulfillment) at 12345 38th Street in District 16 and agreed to forward the permit to the common council with staff conditions.
Mark Becker, who identified himself as owner and president of G10 Inc., appeared at the public hearing and introduced Ryan Lauterman, the applicant’s facilities manager. Staff described the use as a distribution operation similar to a recently permitted logistics site and said the applicant provided an operations plan that anticipated "less than 20 trucks a day" of small‑parcel carriers (UPS/FedEx type) plus some larger semi‑trailer activity.
After brief questions from commissioners, a motion to approve the conditional‑use permit was made and seconded; the commission approved the motion by voice vote and recorded the Chair voting aye.
Staff noted the Planning Commission’s recommendation will be forwarded to the common council for final action and that approval is subject to the standard conditions in the staff report and the operational plan filed with the application.
