Planning commission approves accessory‑building exception and official‑map attachment

The commission approved two smaller but routine items March 19: a special exception to increase the maximum accessory‑building size at 6926 78th Place to roughly 994 square feet, and an amendment to the official map to bring parcel 5629 88th Avenue into the city for utilities.

Owner Jason Baltic spoke briefly at the public hearing about his proposed garage and said he met the ordinance criteria; staff confirmed the application satisfied the criteria that allow accessory structures up to 1,000 square feet by procedure and recommended approval. The motion to approve the exception passed by voice vote.
