Committee adopts substitute combining playground bills, passes committee substitute 12–0

The Committee on Children and Families adopted a committee substitute combining multiple playground bills and voted 12–0 to give the combined measure a do-pass recommendation.

The chair first introduced House Bill 3,534, described in the meeting as the Jones and Prouty Playground Bill, and said a committee substitute (ending in 0.02 c) had been distributed. The committee adopted that substitute by voice vote. The chair then moved that the house committee substitute—combining the bill strings for House Bills 35‑34 and 23‑42—be given a do-pass recommendation. The clerk called the roll; the chair announced the motion passed by a 12–0 vote.

Committee members did not record any opposing votes during the roll call. After the vote the chair asked if there was any other business; with none, the Committee on Children and Families adjourned.
