At the May 29 workshop two residents described a persistent noise problem and asked the council for help. Molly Foreman, who gave her address and said the noise has limited her family's use of their backyard, told the council the city corrected a noisy multi‑ton AC unit but did not address an alleged power‑fan and other equipment noise coming from the dry cleaner at 1664 North Federal Highway.
George Myers followed and presented a longer account including what he said was police video evidence from April 15, 2024. Myers said he and his family had repeatedly reported the issue to police and code enforcement and that they were providing a file of materials for the council's review. He also made allegations about interactions between city employees and the dry‑cleaner owners and urged preservation of street‑camera footage.
Mayor Singer asked that the materials be given to the clerk for review. Mr. Brown said staff would review any new information and that the last staff report had not found a violation. The city attorney said preservation of relevant documents is handled through public‑records procedures and staff would follow up on any requests for records preservation.
What’s next: Mayor Singer said he would ask the city manager to respond at the end of public comment; staff indicated they would revisit the file and code enforcement would follow up.
