Executive subcommittee approves consent agenda, minutes and three designer selections

The State Building Commission Executive Subcommittee approved its consent agenda, accepted prior meeting minutes and approved recommended designers for three campus projects.

Anne asked the subcommittee to acknowledge the consent agenda items 1 through 9, which staff recommended for approval. The chair moved to approve the consent agenda; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote with no public comment.

The subcommittee also approved the minutes of the executive subcommittee meeting held Feb. 23, 2026.

Anne then presented report items approved under Office of the State Architect procedures, including one capital improvement under $100,000, three capital projects between $100,000 and $1,000,000, two funding revisions with no budget change, one bid exceeding the approved MAC with no budget change, one CMGC award, two land acquisitions and one disposal easement and one acquisition by lease.

Secretary Hargett moved approval of three recommended designers as presented: Loesch and Associates Inc. for the Pellissippi State athletic softball complex; Orchard Hilts and McClement Inc. for the Pellissippi State Strawberry Plains campus access and parking lot repairs; and Johnson Johnson Crabtree Architects for the Tennessee Technological University tennis complex. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
