Richland council posts event notices, schedules pickups and reminds public of solar farm meeting

At its March 9 meeting the Village of Richland Council approved a motion to post upcoming public events hosted by renters — the minutes cite GLAMA as an example — to the village website.

Trustee Kim Lewis moved the action and Trustee Paul Foust seconded; the motion carried. The council also reviewed routine committee reports: the treasurer’s financial statement was reviewed, leaf pickup is nearing completion, Buildings & Tree work is ongoing with Clerk Mollie Fish sending emails to Trustee Mechenbier, and zoning has an open seat with an appointment planned for April.

The minutes record scheduling details: stick pickup is scheduled for April 20, 2026 and large-item pickup for May 9, 2026. President Pro-Tempore Gail Koporetz reminded residents that a Solar Panel Farm meeting will be held at Gull Lake Middle School on March 25, 2026 at 7 p.m.; Koporetz said the village will post the reminder on its website. The meeting adjourned at 7:33 p.m.
