Commissioner Moore reported to the Hammond City Capital Improvement Board that $1,521,567.87 was added to the board's first-quarter budget. He told the board the controller's office received two intergovernmental checks last week: $100,000 from the port authority earmarked for design work on the north screen wall project, and $500,000 from the sanitary district for miscellaneous sewer projects. "So that takes us to an unallocated amount of $3,380,000 as of right now," Moore said.
The board did not take any formal action tied to those specific funds during the meeting. Moore noted that the unallocated total does not include larger upcoming allocations such as overlays and sidewalk programs. No additional questions or requests for follow-up detail were recorded during the meeting.
The board moved on to other agenda items, including several funding allocations for design, engineering and construction observation projects. The controller's office will hold the reported funds pending further allocation decisions by the board or administrative staff.
