During the March 20 work session the Londonderry Township Board of Supervisors approved a package of routine administrative items including contract amendments, personnel increases, and procurement authorizations.
Manager David Blechertas introduced an amended Humane Society agreement that removes breed labels for mixed-breed dogs and updates spay/neuter procedures for feral cats; the board approved continuing with the program. The board also approved pay increases effective March 4 for part-time Public Works and Parks employees: Justin Hahn (from $13 to $15 per hour) and David Naples (from $14 to $17 per hour).
The board approved advertising bid documents and an RFP (contingent on solicitor review) necessary for wetland maintenance (Conewago Creek Phase 1–3) and municipal building lower-floor renovations (feasibility study supported by ARPA funds). Supervisors approved an engineering consulting contract with MPE, LLC and authorized payment of purchase orders across funds (General Fund $199,070.39; Escrow $11,799.26; Golf Course $104,218.51; Liquid Fuels $693.36; total $315,781.52). The board also approved a contract with LSI for annual buffer maintenance of Swatara Creek Road properties at $6,800.
All listed motions passed unanimously on voice votes. Where further procurement or contract awards are required, the board will receive subsequent recommendations and votes.
