Consultants brief Londonderry supervisors on comprehensive plan progress and outreach options

Consultants from HRG, Dean Severson and Tim Staub, briefed the Londonderry Township Board of Supervisors on Jan. 17 about progress on the township comprehensive plan. The presentation addressed designated growth management areas and future land-use planning considerations.

Township Manager David Blechertas recommended targeted outreach to residents directly affected by planned recommendations, suggesting a direct mailer and public meetings or conversations. He said staff would compile responses and provide the results to HRG for incorporation into the plan process.

The presentation and discussion focused on framing for future land-use policy rather than any formal adoption or ordinance action. The board did not vote on plan adoption at the work session; next steps identified were additional stakeholder outreach and staff compilation of resident feedback for consultant review.
