Monique Dykman, representing the MS4 Environmental Department, presented a progress report to the Londonderry Township Board of Supervisors on Feb. 5 that included grant and outreach updates.
Dykman said the department recorded a podcast episode with Lancaster Clean Water Partners that will serve as an MS4 workshop, and invited the board to a Conewago Creek Initiative water-quality summit at Sunset Golf Course on Feb. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. She reported that an amendment to the NFWF-I grant was approved to allocate $500,000 to Phase 4 construction, though the grant agreement has not yet been received. The department has submitted an application for an SRBC CU grant for Phase 4 pending a signed match letter and has been awarded an SRBC Mini Stream & Watershed Enhancement Grant for $5,000.
Dykman also listed small, planned expenditures for outreach and events, including fees for a 5K timing company ($900), shirts/awards ($3,000), stickers/buttons ($200), snacks ($400) and porta-potty ($500) for an upcoming bio blitz and related activities.
Dykman’s report was presented as information; no board action on the MS4 items is recorded in the minutes.
