The Duchesne County Commission opened its March 16 meeting by recognizing the county Assessor's Office and County Assessor Tracy Herrera for its service. A commissioner (speaker 6) praised the office's appraisal, DMV service and Greenbelt assessment work and named staff members who were honored.
"Tracy has built an amazing team," the commissioner said, reading a list of longstanding and new staff: Ginger Johnson, Corey Luttrell, Brandy Rennerton, Cheryl Fabrizio, Marta Valencia, Sherry Murray, Rebecca Knight (appraiser trainee), Chloe Bauman (appraiser trainee), Lindsay Coombs (DMV, part‑time) and Kendall Faulkner (DMV, part‑time).
Assessor Tracy Herrera (speaker 3) declined to take sole credit and said the office's work depended on staff: "I shouldn't be standing here because my staff is really who makes my office go," she said. Commissioners and attendees thanked the office and acknowledged the difficulties of tax and appraisal work.
The recognition included congratulations and an encouragement for public service; the commission then proceeded to regular agenda items.
