The Madison County Board approved a bundle of routine committee recommendations on a series of contracts, renewals and grant reauthorizations, including IT security renewals, vendor contracts, and park and recreation grants.
Central services items approved included a three-year renewal for security awareness training, renewal of Mimecast 365 protection for county IT, a contract for security control doors at the Madison County Administration Building, and purchase approval for a 2025 model cutaway truck for Facilities Management. Finance committee chair Guy listed 13 items that passed unanimously in committee and were moved for adoption, among them claims and transfers, an FY2025 Edward Byrne violent criminal prosecution grant item listed in the packet as $107,001,199, multiple contract awards and renewals for digitization and county services, opioid settlement program evaluation funding for the Madison County Mental Health Board, and ARPA disbursement extensions to a municipality. Grants chair Wehart presented reauthorizations of park and recreation grant funds for Williamson, East Alton and the city of Madison, which the board adopted after committee approval.
Judiciary and joint committee items included renewals for medical-care professional services and pharmacy services for the Madison County Jail, authorization to purchase three 2025 police-interceptor vehicles for probation and the detention home, and a one-year psychological services contract for the detention home. The board took roll-call votes and the chair announced the motions carried.
