County administrator recommends increases for county attorney contracts ahead of personnel process

County Administrator Jesse Osmer told the Grants and Contracts Committee that the current county attorney contracts expire at the end of December 2026 and recommended specific monthly increases for five contract attorneys.

Osmer recommended raising Emilee Manning’s contract from $1,700 to $1,900 per month; increasing Katy Conklin’s and Justin Wilson’s contracts from $3,800 to $4,000 per month; and increasing Matt Wojda’s and Cristy VanMassenhove’s contracts from $3,800 to $4,200 per month. He said the county will post the openings to the Personnel Committee, run the interview process, and then return recommended contracts to the Grants and Contracts Committee for finalization. Osmer also said he will get clarification on each attorney’s assignments and present that information at a future meeting.

No formal action or vote on the contract amounts was recorded at this meeting; the committee was informed of the recommended changes and the personnel process that will follow.
