Council member asks to revisit accessory dwelling unit rules

During general discussion, a council member asked that the council bring back review of accessory dwelling units (sometimes called granny units), noting past controversy and suggesting changing housing pressures might warrant revisiting the rules.

The mayor and other council members recalled earlier debate and opposition and agreed to place the topic on a future agenda for further discussion. No staff report or proposal was presented at the study session.
