Commissioners approve BFJRA charter amendments and appoint Craig Cutchall

Members of the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority met with the Fulton County commissioners seeking county approval of two amendments to the Authority’s articles of incorporation and a board appointment.

Motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible carried to approve and execute Resolution 9 of 2025, authorizing an amendment to increase the number of BFJRA board members. A separate motion by Commissioner Wible carried to approve and execute Resolution 10 of 2025, which authorizes the Authority to appoint police officers who will have the same rights as other police officers in the Commonwealth with respect to Authority property.

Commissioner Wible also moved to appoint Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority, with a term expiring Jan. 3, 2027; the motion carried unanimously.

Representatives from the Authority in attendance included Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod. The commissioners recorded the formal approvals and the appointment; no further debate or public comment on these items is recorded in the meeting minutes.
