Redwood County reappoints Roger Zollner as veteran service officer

Vice Chair Jim Salfer and the Redwood County Board of Commissioners on March 3 unanimously reappointed Roger Zollner to a four-year term as the county Veteran Service Officer, effective March 15, 2026.

The Board adopted a resolution citing Minnesota Statute §197.60, which sets the term and probationary period for county veteran service officers. The resolution notes Zollner’s initial appointment on March 15, 2022, and extends his term through March 15, 2030. The motion to adopt the resolution carried on a roll-call vote with Commissioners Corey Theis, Jim Salfer, Bob Van Hee and Dennis Groebner voting aye.

The resolution directs that a copy be forwarded to the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs. No dissent or amendment was recorded. The Board continued with its agenda following the vote.
