Committee adopts strike-below and sends Senate Bill 124 to Appropriations

Senator Wallace offered L001 as a strike-below amendment to Senate Bill 124 to ensure the Colorado integrated criminal justice information system (CICJIS) could help provide information for the automated notification system for protection-order violations. Sponsors said the change would assist implementation by allowing additional criminal-justice systems to supply needed data. "The forthcoming amendment will ensure that CICJIS can provide information along with CBI," the sponsor said.

After closing the amendment phase and concluding testimony, Senator Wallace moved SB 124 to the Committee on Appropriations with a favorable recommendation. The committee roll call recorded four votes in favor and two opposed (one excused), and the bill was placed on the Appropriations Committee docket.
