WFISD board extends superintendent's contract by one year after closed-session deliberations

After a closed-session personnel deliberation under Texas Government Code, the Wichita Falls ISD Board of Trustees returned to open session and approved a one-year extension to the superintendent's contract.

A trustee moved to extend the superintendent's contract for one year "as the terms we discussed" and directed the board president to work with attorneys and the superintendent to finalize the written contract language.
