ARDOT Director Jared Wiley told the legislative panel that a letter closing out a multi‑year efficiency review marks the department’s final report on the study and that staff have implemented the five remaining recommendations.
"I'm happy to report that that letter wrapped up our efficiency review study that we've been working on for so many years," Wiley said. He said the department completed the outstanding recommendations since the last meeting in September and will continue to track progress.
Wiley highlighted a new public maintenance dashboard that is now available on ARDOT’s website. "The public now can go to our website and pull up this map and it will show them where we have active maintenance work going on in the state or maintenance work that our crews have completed in the last 12 months," he said. The dashboard identifies the type of work and projected start and end dates.
The director framed the dashboard as increased transparency following the efficiency review. He said the department also rolled out a separate construction‑project dashboard last year to show contract status and scheduling details.
The committee asked no substantive questions on the efficiency review report during the meeting. Wiley closed the report and invited questions from members, then moved to other agenda items.
