Fulton County commissioners on Dec. 30, 2025 approved Resolution 8 of 2025, the Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution, setting the 2026 tax levy with no increase from the prior year. The motion to adopt the tax levy, moved by Commissioner Hervey P. Hann, passed on a unanimous voice vote.
Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed reported that there were no changes to the proposed budget since it was publicly advertised. On a motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible, the board adopted the proposed 2026 budget as presented by CFO Mike Lamb and Fiscal Administrator Reed. The board also approved the December 2025 Pension Report as presented by HR Administrator Mary Huston.
Meeting minutes record those actions as voice votes with the notation "All in favor." The record does not include a roll-call tally of individual votes or line-item budget amounts beyond the notation that the accounts payable for the day totaled $112,913.87 (General Fund $98,764.92; Debt Service $14,148.95).
The budget adoption completes the county's annual appropriation process for fiscal year 2026; commissioners indicated the formal appointment of county engineering services will follow at the Reorganizational Meeting on Jan. 6, 2026.
