The Fulton County commissioners voted Dec. 30 to approve two resolutions submitted by representatives of the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority (BFJRA) to amend the authority's articles of incorporation and to appoint a new member to the authority.
Representatives Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod attended to present the amendments. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve Resolution 9 of 2025, authorizing an amendment to increase the number of BFJRA board members, and Resolution 10 of 2025, authorizing the authority to appoint police officers who will have the same rights as other police officers in the Commonwealth with respect to authority property. Both motions were approved "all in favor."
Commissioner Wible also moved to appoint Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority, with the term expiring Jan. 3, 2027; that appointment was approved with all in favor.
The meeting minutes do not record any dissent or conditions attached to the approvals. No additional implementation details for the amendments or the role of the newly appointed member are included in the minutes.
