Board approves transient use permit for large fundraising event on 70‑acre property

The Worcester County Board of Zoning Appeals on March 12 approved a special exception allowing a transient special event on a 70‑acre property at 10639 Griffin Road (Case 26‑16).

An applicant representative described the event plan, saying temporary tents would be used, adequate parking exists on the large property, and restroom trailers and traffic‑management plans would be provided to avoid impacts on surrounding roads. The representative noted prior events had similar arrangements and anticipated neighbors attending. Board members asked specifically about parking layout and overflow arrangements; the applicant said parking would be located near the house and on adjacent fields with overflow available along a driveway to Friendship Road.
