Cedar Park—The City Council approved a $400,000 performance‑based grant to Creative 3D Technologies aimed at supporting local expansion and job creation.
Arthur Jackson, the city's chief economic development officer, described the project as a milestone for Cedar Park’s innovation strategy and Plug and Play partnership. "In turn, the company commits to leasing a new facility in Cedar Park, hire 45 new full time employees with a capital investment of $800,000," Jackson said.
Jackson said Creative 3D is developing advanced 3‑D printing technology with potential applications for semiconductors and that the company participated in the city’s Plug and Play accelerator. Council members praised the economic development partnership and moved to approve the resolution.
The council recorded a 6–0 vote in support with one member absent. Staff said the grant is performance‑based and tied to the company's commitments; details of disbursement conditions and benchmarks are included in the agreement and were discussed during staff review.
