At its March 10 meeting, the Prosper Town Council adopted a revised set of five strategic visioning priorities that staff said will guide budgeting and service delivery. Mario, a town staff presenter, summarized minor, action-oriented language revisions to the existing priorities and said staff will use them to align budgeting and service delivery (economic development, infrastructure, downtown development, service delivery and tax-base diversification were noted).
"Those are the items that staff will be working towards if you all adopt those items today," Mario said. A motion to adopt the strategic visioning priorities was made by Councilmember Marcus Ray and passed unanimously.
The council also considered and passed a set of routine consent items and separate agenda items: the town accepted a clean audit and related financial items (Item 5), approved a specific-use permit for an accessory building/guest house in Whispering Farms (Item 18) after staff said the HOA and ACC had approved the project and planning commission recommended approval, and approved other consent items. Where identified on the record, motions were moved and seconded by councilmembers and votes were recorded as unanimous.
