The Argyle Municipal Development District approved an on‑call architecture review contract with Architexis to provide design counsel, planning review and applicant support tied to the Town Center area plan.
Staff presented the scope as assistance to applicants who need design, planning or architectural guidance to fit proposed private projects into the town’s Town Center design standards. Staff said $30,000 of MDD incentive funds would be allocated to cover initial requests.
Architexis representatives (introduced as Craig and Robin) described experience with similar Texas downtown projects and said their role would be design counsel and developer coordination rather than producing full construction drawings for every project. "We do have a good amount of experience... to where we begin to work closely with the developers to envision their projects," one representative said.
A motion to approve the professional services agreement was made by a board member and seconded; the motion passed by voice vote. Staff said the $30,000 will be drawn from the MDD incentives allocation and that expenditures will vary with developer demand. The board expects Architexis to provide design review, developer engagement and periodic updates to the MDD as requests arise.
