Hancock County approves Class C alcohol license for Slippery Elm Golf Course, authorizes claims payments

On March 4 the Hancock County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a Class C retail alcohol license with outdoor service for Slippery Elm Inc., doing business as Slippery Elm Golf Course. The motion to approve the license was made by Supervisor Florence (Sis) Greiman, seconded by Supervisor Jerry J. Tlach and carried unanimously.

The Board also authorized the county auditor to issue checks for claims on file that day and noted that a full listing of all claims paid in March 2024 will be published in the March 18, 2024 minutes. The minutes do not list the dollar amounts for the claims; the board directed the auditor to publish the full claims listing in the next minutes.

There was no recorded public comment or debate in the minutes regarding the license or claims authorization. The Board adjourned at 10:39 a.m. and will meet again on March 11, 2024.
