Council approves audit authorization, WIC contract, juvenile-detention agreement and several board appointments

During its Feb. 3 session the St. Martin Parish Council approved several resolutions and administrative appointments.

Resolution No. 26-009-RS authorized completion and execution of the Louisiana System Survey and Compliance Questionnaire for the parish27s FY2025 audit engagement; the parish has contracted Maraist & Maraist, CPAs, for the audit.

Resolution No. 26-010-RS authorized Parish President Pete Delcambre to execute a one-year contract (Feb. 1, 20262DJan. 31, 2027) with Jaime M. Rinaudo to provide nutritional educational services as a certified technician for the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program now operated by the parish at the Cecilia Health Unit.

Resolution No. 26-011-RS authorized the Parish President to enter into a per-diem agreement with the Lafayette Juvenile Detention Home for detention services and medical expenses above routine care for juveniles committed from St. Martin Parish.

The council reappointed Jennifer Stelly to the Atchafalaya Trace Commission (Res. 26-012-RS) for a term from Feb. 6, 2026, to Feb. 6, 2029. The council also appointed Hoyt Louviere to fill an unexpired term on the Spanish Lake Game and Fishing Preserve Commission (Res. 26-013-RS) and confirmed or clarified multiple appointments and term expirations for members of the St. Martin Parish Water & Sewerage Commission No. 1 (Res. 26-014-RS through 26-016-RS).

All resolutions were recorded as adopted by unanimous vote in the meeting minutes.
