Dawson County commissioners approve $1.7 million in claims, present payroll totals

At its Feb. 27 meeting the Dawson County Board of Commissioners approved vendor claims and payroll items totaling $1,724,854.58 and accepted Treasurer’s receipts of $358,873.80.

The board approved the minutes from its Feb. 13 meeting (Commissioner Bill Stewart abstained on the minutes motion) and then approved the Treasurer’s receipts. Commissioners then approved the full slate of claims as presented. The meeting record lists detailed general vendor claims totaling $454,843.97 (including Cardinal Assessment Group $104,000.00 for residential review and TL Sund Constructors $119,072.25 for a remodel), road vendor claims totaling $120,625.86 (including Country Partners Cooperative fuel charges of $76,459.72), and multiple payroll claim subtotals (general payroll $581,174.15; road payroll $136,952.77; dispatch payroll $54,503.68). The record also lists county insurance vendor claims of $28,924.77 and other fund-specific vendor totals.

The motions to approve these items were made during the regular session and carried by recorded vote; the meeting record attributes the motions to Commissioners Kevin Swanson and Bill Stewart at different points.
